Today is World Poetry Day! Since Easter is upon us—and I’m feeling inspired—here is a little sketch and stanza in honour of the occasion:
In the dead of night, when shadows creep,
Beneath the moon, where nightmares seep,
A haunted hare lurks with eyes aglow,
In the hollows where dreams go to sow.
Its fur as dark as the midnight sky,
With teeth sharp and gleaming, ready to pry,
Beware the bunny, with a sinister grin,
For in its presence, terror begins.
Have an awesome Easter, creeps! Why not read or create some of your own poetry today?
"Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words." - American Poet, Robert Frost
